Boston, USA – July 1–6, 2025 — Lihan Cryogenics have attended the 29th International Conference on Magnet Technology (MT29)—one of the most prestigious global conference on magnets and superconductivity technologies, which brought together researchers, engineers, and industry experts on magnet design, manufacturing, and cryogenic applications.
As a sponsor and exhibitor at this world-renowned event, Lihan showcased its advanced high-capacity cryocoolers and cutting-edge solutions for superconducting magnet systems.
The new LC5380 cryocooler from the OrthoCool™ series can deliver 380W of cooling power at 77K-an industry-leading performance in its category. Designed for demanding applications such as fusion energy, high-field magnets, and superconducting power systems, the LC5380 evoked strong interest across the scientific community.
Lihan’s technical team have held productive discussions with experts from global research institutes and energy companies, exploring how cryogenic cooling can support the next generation magnet technologies.
One of the visitors to Lihan's booth, Dr. Cesar Luongo of EuroFusion, commented on the system as being “Very useful” and emphasized its strong potential for cooling cold shields in compact fusion systems. He also expressed particular interest in Lihan’s upcoming high-capacity 20K cryocooler, which could support indirect cooling of Tokamak coils.
Participation in MT29 not only increased Lihan’s visibility but also opened new doors for strategic collaboration and technical exchange within the global superconductivity and cryogenics community.
